I used to focus all my energy on booking wedding clients.

|| And I LOVE Wedding Photography, I really do. I still take on a handful of couples each year because I just love the abundance of love! ||

But after a few years of being in what I like to call the "wedding grind", I was feeling a bit burnt-out. Burnt-out of the hustle and bustle that is the wedding industry. I was tired of having to compete for clients with other photographers, getting undercut by cheap photographers (this does no one any good and brings the entire industry down), and I was honestly bummed to continuously miss out on friends' weddings, family gatherings, and hanging out with my people on weekends I was constantly on the road and needed a full day or two to recover from a wedding day's marathon madness!

For me, stepping into Branding Photography was a natural shift of gears

I had started to offer Branding Mini Sessions in the slower season to meet new faces and generate some income. I had gone to another photographer's branding minis and just loved it! And I thought... "Hey, I could definitley do this!"

So I did.

I organized my first of many Branding Minis and met so many cool people.  One of my favorite things about my bookings, was that it was almost exclusively booked by women entrepreneurs.  It allowed me to connect with other small business owners in the area, to provide them with some fast and affordable images, and make so many friends along the way.

But what I didn't expect was to fall in LOVE with it so much!

It is quite literally my jam.  To be able to give back to community in this way is truly a gift and I am so grateful.  I feel that part of my job as a photographer is to help inspire and empower my clients; to see the incredible sides of them that sometimes we can't see ourselves.
